This remarkable historical building is being reborn! After much delay, the restoration of the Cambria County Old Stone Jail is finalizing preparations for the restoration of this national registered historical building. This will present many opportunities, to the Borough of Ebensburg and the surrounding communities of Cambria County, by providing a unique, interesting, and historical site to visit. Upon repair and restoration, the building will become a muli-use property. There will be areas for attractions such as prison and haunted tours, hosting of events, banquet and meeting rooms, office and retail spaces, and much more.

The restoration of the Cambria County Old Stone Jail will focus on the historical preservation of the property. Once repairs have been completed and the property is not in violation of any codes, there are several investors pledging to support the restoration phase of the project. The goal is to restore the property as close as possible to its original appearance and presence at the beginning of the 20th century. Architectural design is focusing on period architecture, lighting and furnishings.
